| 皮膚養出幹細胞 治「心」病

胚胎幹細胞在醫學用途極大，但最大問題是無法取得自體的胚胎幹細胞。台北榮總與陽明大學研究團隊在人體的細胞核內找到特定基因蛋白「多聚ADP核糖轉移酶Parp1」，它能培養出「誘導萬能細胞（iPS）」，除可分化成各種的正常組織細胞外，還能分化為帶有特定疾病基因及病徵細胞，進一步作為藥物篩選療效的測試平台，患者不必嘗百草，就能知道各種藥物治療效果。
北榮教研部主治醫師邱士華說，誘導萬能細胞（iPS）是去年諾貝爾獎得主的日本學者山中伸彌發明。不過，山中所找到的基因是癌症前基因，也就是致癌基因，但榮陽團隊發現的Parp1是安全的蛋白，降低形成腫瘤疑慮，這項發現獲得山中來信肯定。
