【周昭平／高雄報導】台南市安南區陳家三兄弟，因母體垂直感染，罹患B型肝炎，但也陸續惡化變成肝硬化、肝癌，其中二哥陳進義與大哥陳茂林，在前年6月與今年5月先後接受兒女活體捐肝，五弟陳特安也因肝癌反復復發，預訂明天動手術移植，由兒子捐肝給他，他也將成為高雄長庚活體肝臟移植第1000例個案。
高雄長庚醫院院長陳肇隆表示，B型肝炎患者多會歷經肝炎、肝硬化及肝癌的病程三部曲，類似陳家三兄弟都感染惡化成肝癌患者不少見，但陳家卻是首個家族三兄弟都必須換肝的個案，特別是陳特安血型是A型，兒子是AB型，原本是移植禁忌症，所幸藉由新近藥物進步，克服不同血型可能的排斥等問題。
