新北市元月到3月是櫻花花季，石碇和坪林已能看到早開的櫻花綻放，農業局也將今年的櫻花攝影比賽提前。

新北市每年1月到3月底是櫻花季節，石碇和坪林山區已能見到早開的櫻花蹤影，新北市農業局景觀處今年提早展開櫻花季攝影比賽，並推薦多條賞櫻路線，可賞台灣山櫻花、八重櫻、吉野櫻的豔麗身影。
新北市農業局長廖榮清表示，農業局近年規畫櫻花季活動，炒熱新北市成為賞櫻重鎮，但往年搭配花季的攝影比賽2月展開，部分櫻花品種已凋謝，今年攝影比賽提前至元月1日起跑，收件時間延長至3月31日，讓愛好攝影的朋友都能拍到理想的櫻花。
