| 下身癱瘓男子 睡醒一腳腳趾全被愛犬吃了

【於慶中／綜合外電報導】瑞典中年男子湯瑪森(Micke Thomasson)在25年前的一場車禍中，腰部以下完全癱瘓，臥床多年後，近日又因為下肢血液循環不良與褥瘡，一條小腿以下嚴重潰爛，醫師多次警告他該盡快截肢保命，但他說「我不覺得切除掉我身體的一部份是有道理的」，堅持拒絕。他與他的貴賓狗相依為命多年，「小狗是支持我活下去的動力」。
三個月前，湯瑪森的小腿已經爛到見骨，疼痛萬分，他請醫師替他開了高劑量的嗎啡止痛，每天晚上用了嗎啡，「就像死了一樣昏過去」。日前，他的一位好友到家中過夜，隔天早上友人端著茶到湯瑪森的臥房叫他起床，卻看到滿地鮮血，他的愛犬精疲力竭的倒在血泊中，而湯瑪森潰爛的那條腿，腳掌上的5根腳趾已經全部沒了，鮮血直流。友人大叫「你的狗把你的腳趾吃了」，忙報警將他送醫。友人事後表示：「那條狗看起來辛苦了一整晚，費盡力氣才把他的5根腳趾咬掉」。
