世界大賽將於10月24日早上7點30分於波士頓芬威球場開打，7戰4勝制賽事中，紅襪擁有第1、2、6、7戰主場優勢，聖路易紅雀則擁有第3、4、5戰主場優勢。

【汪智博／台東報導】年約30多歲、患有精神疾病的謝姓男子，昨天才從醫院接受治療返家，今天一早再發病，並揚言自殺後開車出門，他在街上看到巡邏警車，立即加速往前追撞，撞上警車左後輪部位後，自車因衝力過猛翻車。員警下車查看，嫌犯自行爬出車外，還意圖搶奪警員配槍，所幸警員反應快加上附近民眾幫忙制伏，解決一場危機。
