【大陸中心╱綜合外電報導】中國經濟起飛國力漸強，自認成世界主流強國，不少專家學者和兩會代表委員近年呼籲高考取消英文，加強國學，陸續獲各地教育部門響應；北京市近日也宣佈，2016年高考將削減英文比重，增加中文分值，且小學三年級前不設英文課。有學者指，這反映當局希望中國文化成為主流思維，但中國傳統文化扼殺個性、缺少創新精神，能否成世界主流值得懷疑。
