因為兄弟象球團在季後宣布尋求企業接手，否則頂多再撐一年，這個台灣職棒元老球隊，無論如何，都將劃下句點。
職棒二十年以來，球迷不但要擔心假球案，還要操心球團撐不下去，自己支持的球隊要是從職棒圈消失，簡直比失戀還要痛苦。一旦球團出現經營危機，即使球迷的經濟狀況不算好，也要從微薄的收入之中擠出那種以熱血計量的開銷去「搶救」。所謂「全民搶救」這種聲音，如果是球迷不捨的情緒反應也就算了，連教育部長都帶頭呼籲，那就有點說不過去了。
