東加外海6.4強震 無海嘯

（中央社雪梨2013年11月3日綜合外電報導）美國地質調查所（USGS）表示，太平洋島國東加王國（Tonga）外海今天凌晨發生規模6.4淺層強震，但當局未發布海嘯警報。

這起強震的震央位於東加首都努瓜婁發（Nuku'alofa）東北方345公里處，震源深度10公里。

USGS的因應全球地震即時評估系統（PromptAssessment of Global Earthquakes for Response,PAGER）發布綠色警戒層級，估計造成傷亡或經濟損失的風險非常低。

位於夏威夷的太平洋海嘯警報中心（PacificTsunami Warning Centre）表示，這起強震無引發海嘯之虞。強震發生後又發生一連串淺層餘震。
