　【李陳信得／台中報導】潭美颱風又奪走一條人命！前台中縣和平鄉民代表孫科林（五十八歲）昨天下午前往梨山松茂部落，整理他果園內被颱風吹倒的「山麻黃」，結果這株直徑約二十五公分、三公尺高的樹突然倒下，孫閃避不及，頭部被壓中，當場爆頭死亡。

　由於案發地點在孫的果園內，加上當時果園內只有孫科林一人，外界無從得知，其家人一直連絡不上，直到晚間九點前往果園查看才發現並將他送醫，但早已天乏術。
