天氣越來越熱，又到了蚊蟲出沒的季節，有業者鎖定防蚊商機，推出防蚊外套，在布料材質中加了特殊的藥劑，號稱可以減少蚊蟲靠近以及停在布料上的機率，我們實際做測試，計時2分鐘，穿了外套後，蚊子確實暫時沒靠近，而沒穿外套的手伸進養蚊籠，沒幾秒就被叮得又紅又癢，不過畢竟是在布料上加入防蚊藥劑，水洗一定次數後就會失效。
粉紅夾克，拉上拉鍊，乍看之下和一般外套沒什麼差別，但這件外套號稱穿了可以防蚊，原理很簡單，其實就是在布料裡加入防蚊助劑，降低蚊蟲靠近和停留在布料上的機率。
另外，帽子有面罩，袖子也做了縮口設計，本土業者自行研發，花了一年時間。TVBS記者黃荷婷：「穿上防蚊外套，真的就不會被蚊子叮咬嗎？我們實際來測試看看。」
