【大紀元2013年10月06日訊】（大紀元記者張東光編譯報導）美國官員週六（5日）表示，海豹特種部隊週五（4日）夜間突襲了與基地組織（al-Qaeda）有關聯的回教青年黨（al-Shabab）組織一名領導在索馬里（Somali）海邊的家，表明華府相當擔心近期恐怖組織攻擊肯尼亞購物中心所帶來的威脅。
《華盛頓郵報》報導，這位不願具名的官員說，這起突擊的目的是要逮捕一位青年黨極端組織有價值的高階人員，但該名好戰份子沒被捕獲。「美方人員採取所有的預防措施以避免平民傷亡，並在造成青年黨組織一些傷亡後便撤出。」
