5年前，我到日本從事米糠的相關研究，當時發現到米糠在台灣沒有受到什麼關注，然而，在日本則是被當成寶來利用。除了被拿來製作醃製品（漬物）、製作成種香菇的太空包外，最重要的是它也被拿來生產米糠油。
